Ships of the Line

The Triumvirate Coalition depends on a vast number of ships, both Civilian and Military. Over the years its fleet has expanded exponentially to the point at which it now boasts thousands of craft; however, there are a few memorable ships that have been key to the progress of the Coalition and are recorded below. These ships have become part of our history and represent the great progress the Coalition has achieved over the years. It is worth noting that the Triumvirate Coalition owes a great debt to our allies in the Galactic Alliance for this technology – we are forever grateful and stand united with them against Imperial oppression.

The MC-80 Home One-class Star Cruiser – TMS Pride of Teraab

This ship was commissioned on Year 11 Day 362 and was immediately named as the Coalition’s flagship. It represents the pinnacle of Alliance technology and is the tool that will grant us our freedom. While one can often find her patrolling Coalition space, she is also no stranger to deployments beyond our borders.

The TLS Atlas in orbit of Pesmenben III, as seen from the TLS Icarus station

The Mammoth-class Heavy Hauler – TLS Atlas

This behemoth was commissioned on Year 10 Day 334 and constructed in orbit of the Istic III Gas Giant after the Alion Nova Guard joined the Galactic Alliance. Although it has no weapon systems, this ship represents the cutting edge of transport ships. At almost 2000 meters in length the Atlas, and her sister ships, have been known to cast a shadow on the planet below when in low orbit. These craft are invaluable to the Coalition’s urbanization schemes and can be seen hauling colossal amounts of raw materials around Teraab.

The TMS Thunderchild moving out of the Farfalla asteroid belt for the first time in decades

The Dreadnaught-class Heavy Cruiser – TMS Thunderchild

This ship was discovered, nearly derelict, deep within the Farfalla asteroid belt near Hoth’s Brand. Although the ship’s computers were damaged beyond repair, it was clear the ship had been engaged in an intense battle. Months passed as the craft was painstakingly separated from the asteroid it had fused with by the finest technical engineers of the Coalition, who replaced the majority of its systems and restored it to optimal working condition. For years, the Thunderchild acted as the command center for the entire Coalition Navy – as the flagship she was revered across Coalition space. Although no longer the flagship, the Thunderchild will always be remembered fondly by all who served on her.

The MC-80b Star Cruiser – TMS Holland

This ship was commissioned on Year 11 Day 146 and was the first MC-80b to be constructed by the Coalition. To commemorate this historic event, the ship was named after Dexter Holland, one of the founding Consuls of the Triumvirate. The TMS Holland was the most powerful warship in the Galactic Alliance arsenal for a long time, though with recent breakthroughs, the ship has been superseded by the MC-80 Home One-class cruiser. However, even superseded, the MC-80b is a formidable warship and continues to be used by the Coalition fleet. The TMS Holland has now been joined by many other MC-80b-class ships, which are distributed amongst the Coalition Military and can be seen patrolling our space or on maneuvers with the Galactic Alliance fleet.

The MC-60 Destroyer – TMS Freedom

This ship was commissioned on Year 9 Day 305 after lengthy talks with the New Republic. At that point, the Republic Senate felt that the Coalition had grown to a position where it was stable enough and competent enough to own these warships. This was a huge breakthrough for the Coalition, as it could now defend itself against enemy fleets as well as aid in Galactic Alliance fleet deployments. The MC-60 alone could not withstand an attack from advanced Imperial warships, and so it has been joined by more powerful ships such as the MC-80b; however, it is a versatile ship and many MC-60s are still in service.

The Hammerhead-class Cruiser – TCS Kaira Mirv

This ancient ship was rechristened and recommissioned on Y12 D283 by the Triumvirate Coalition in memory of Kaira Mirv, veteran of the Prospecting Department, Coalition Senate, and numerous other public endeavors. The Coalition engineers repaired the ship and returned it to active duty as a sign of respect for their missing friend and colleague. Though the cruiser’s days on the front line of battle-fleets are long past, and some may view the old ship as archaic, she now serves proudly and effectively as the flagship of the Coalition Affairs department.

The Torax engaged in intensive mining operations in Nanth`ri during the Second Triumvirate

The BFF-1 Bulk Freighter – TLS Torax

The early industrial age of the Coalition was a struggle due to limited resources. On Y8D300 the first BFF-1 Bulk Freighter, the TLS Torax, was commissioned. The Torax was built in the Hapes Cluster, in the Lorell system by Aurora Technologies, a contract signed by then Minister of Industry Evan Bluvius. A young Devaronian ensign in the Logistics department by the name of Eimit`fy Nadgob was the first to fly it back to TC space. In a holo-meeting with Minister Evan Bluvius, Eimit remembers saying “It still has that new ship smell!” This marked the end of years of struggling for resources and the beginning of mass construction and mineral extraction.

The two YT-2000 Freighters TLS Hawk and TLS Eagle in hyperspace

The YT-2000 Freighters – TLS Hawk and TLS Eagle

Since the formation of the First Triumvirate, these two ships have worked endlessly to pick up recruits from all ends of the Galaxy. Due to their excellent speed, they have spent most of their life in hyperspace; however, the Coalition engineers take special care of these two ships, ensuring they are always in perfect condition. Over the years, they have been joined by a fleet of other YT model ships, however, these two will always have a place in our hearts.

The X-Wing squadron TMS Altagak during routine patrols in Istic

The T-65 X-Wing – TMS Altagak squadron

The introduction of X-Wings in the Fourth Triumvirate was a massive boost to the Coalition Navy forces. Previously operating in the inferior Y-Wings and R-41 Starchasers, the iconic X-Wings were the first step in rebuilding the Navy from scratch into a military force that could hold its own among the Galaxy’s top navies.

The RZ-1 A-Wing Interceptor – TMS Rogue squadron

Introduced during the Fifth Triumvirate, the A-Wings of the Coalition are marvels to behold. Among the fastest ships in the galaxy, the A-Wings are capable of covering the entire distance of Teraab in a little over half a day. This ensures that no matter where trouble breaks out, the Navy will be only hours away from solving the problem.

The B-Wing squadron TMS Hoth patrolling around a Home One-class cruiser

The A/SF-01 B-wing – TMS Hoth squadron

Introduced during the Sixth Triumvirate, the B-wing heavy assault fighter bolsters the Coalition’s anti-capital ship operations with unparalleled firepower and combat durability. One of the most advanced heavy fighters in the Galaxy, these ships can deliver very serious damage to an opposing capital ship, and have the armor and shields to go up against the heaviest Imperial Star Destroyers. The newest addition to the Coalition Navy, these ships’ presence in Teraab will ensure enemy capital ship captains think twice before attacking Coalition planets.

The Y-Wing BTL-S3 squadron TMS Voulge flying in formation over a Coalition celebration

The BTL-S3 Y-Wing – TMS Voulge squadron

Introduced during the First Triumvirate, the BTL-S3 Y-Wing formed the core of the Coalition fleet, and although it has been replaced with arguably superior fighters, these ships still hold a place in our heart. The Voulge squadron has been on patrol in Coalition space since the very start. This squadron is still deployed by the fleet, but regularly finds itself used during special events as a ceremonial escort or flyover.
